At Business Resource Group, we understand that every decision is a series of connected events. That's why every decision we make that safeguards the environment and promotes environmental responsibility is important.

Our goal is to foster and encourage responsible decision-making that protects and restores the environment. We are committed to making a difference - to serving our customers in a way that is consistent with sound environmental practices and that benefits our community and the world in which we live. We encourage the practice of sustainability by our clients, our business partners and our vendors.

We believe our corporate and individual efforts in areas such as paperless initiatives, product sourcing, recycling, water and energy conservation, carpooling and the use of public transportation can advance environmental sustainability and promote social responsibility - and we are convinced that these efforts make a difference.

PAPERLESS INITIATIVES:
At BRG, paperless technology consistently saves natural resources and eliminates tons of waste every year. In addition, these efforts conserve space that would otherwise be used for storage and saves the cost and resources related to climate control for record archives. We strive to use paperless, electronic means for document exchange and storage within every aspect of our business - from digital sales proposals and technical specifications to billings for services through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology.

RECYCLING:
At BRG we encourage and support recycling. Glass, aluminum, plastic and paper are to be deposited in the appropriate recycling bins provided to our employees at all work locations. Toner and ink cartridges as well as unused computer equipment are to be returned to the BRG IT representative within the designated office for responsible disposal. For employees visiting or working at one of our client sites, we support the recycling policies of our customer and assist them in fulfilling their mission.

PRODUCT SOURCING:
At BRG we strive to source products that are recycled. We purchase recycled paper products for offices and break rooms where possible.

We work with our clients to help them specify and purchase products that are environmentally sustainable, LEED certified and where possible meet the criteria of McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC).

We also assist our clients with the disposition of assets that they no longer want or need by helping them find an environmentally responsible solution. We can link customers to one of several green alternatives, depending on the type, quantity and condition of the product they have.

GREEN BUILDINGS:
Another important extension of our commitment to the environment is our support for clients participating in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). By following LEED certification guidelines, we help our customers express their commitment to the environment and their community.

Visit the U.S. Green Building Council at http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CategoryID=19.
See http://www.mcdonough.com/product.htm for more MBDC information.

WATER AND ENERGY CONSERVATION:
The majority of BRG office locations have energy conservation features such as timers for the building HVAC systems and motion sensors for the light switches. For locations that do not have such energy features, BRG encourages employees to turn lights off and adjust thermostats when leaving. By default, computer power-saving features are enabled by our IT staff when deploying equipment.

Many communities in which we reside have water conservation efforts. As good corporate and community citizens, we unequivocally encourage and support these efforts whenever they exist.

AIR QUALITY / ATMOSPHERIC EMISSIONS:
BRG encourages carpooling or the use of the public transportation where possible in order to reduce atmospheric emissions and noise. Additionally, BRG encourages the use of fuel-efficient and hybrid vehicles.

Business Resource Group is committed to having a positive impact on the environment. We enable environmental sustainability by making strategic decisions that enhance our workplace management solutions while contributing to the health and safety of our employees, our clients, and our communities.

We believe that every decision we make that safeguards the environment and promotes environmental responsibility is important and that if enough of us embrace it, we will all see a return on our investment.
